CDP Gold accredited solution provider

EcoAct, an Atos company is delighted to announce that it has been re-confirmed as a Gold Climate Change consultancy and SBT Accredited Solution Provider of CDP, which sees more than 9,600 companies sharing environmental information each year.

This CDP global climate change and SBT consultancy partnership enables EcoAct to offer expertise, guidance and insight to reporting companies. The partnership follows an exciting year for EcoAct that saw its acquisition by Atos and the expansion of its existing operations and client relationships both in Europe and North America.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states, and regions. Founded in 2000, CDP pioneered using capital markets and corporate procurement to encourage companies to disclose their environmental impacts, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests.

EcoAct has supported companies with the CDP reporting process for the past 10 years and the expansion of the partnership enables further consolidation of that support for organisations striving to improve their climate-related reporting. EcoAct is currently working with a diverse range of CAC40, FTSE100, IBEX35 and Global 500 clients on their CDP disclosures, climate risk assessment and scenario analysis and TCFD alignment.

EcoAct, an Atos company co-founder and CEO Gerald Maradan said: “The need for climate action is urgent. Scientists have confirmed that the window for mitigating climate change is closing fast and we need to act now. As we look forward to COP26, we need a significant acceleration in the transformation of how organisations do things – by placing climate and carbon issues, and the risks they present, at the heart of national, regional and company level strategies.

“CDP facilitates this transformation by providing a comprehensive reporting framework to allow investors to understand the climate risks and adaptation efforts being undertaken by the world’s biggest companies. Through this partnership, we look forward to continuing as a CDP Gold accredited solution provider and supporting reporting companies working towards a low carbon, net-zero  future.”

Paul Robins, Head of Partnerships at CDP, said: “CDP is excited to have EcoAct, an Atos company as a Gold Climate Change and SBT consultancy accredited solution provider. Climate action must be based on science if we are to reach net zero by 2050. EcoAct’s expertise enables more organisations to take action on climate, reduce their emissions and reach net zero.”
