ISO 50001 is an international energy management standard that specifies a framework for implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system. The standard explains the creation of an internal managerial system, structured to aid energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption. The latest version of the standard (ISO50001:2018) was released in August 2018.
