This temporary position offers a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to EcoAct’s exciting sustainability research programme. As part of EcoAct’s annual investigation into the sustainability reporting performance of companies listed on various financial indices across Europe, you will assist in all aspects of the research programme. We offer our research assistants a challenging and rewarding environment that will enhance your knowledge of sustainability and climate change issues while putting to use your valuable research skills.

Knowledge / Skills / Attitudes:

We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about climate change and sustainability issues. Skills we are looking for include:

  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in environmental, carbon or sustainability subjects (can be current).
  • Desk-based research skills;
  • Knowledge of current sustainability issues facing businesses;
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Competency in French and/ or Spanish

Location:

Under normal circumstances, the position is usually based at our London office in Kings Cross. However due to the current COVID-19 situation, the position will be carried out remotely. You will therefore need to be able to work from home and have access to a computer or laptop, Wi-Fi and an appropriate workstation set up. If the situation changes, you may have the option to work from the London office or can continue to work remotely.

Type of Employment:

This is a paid position, offering candidates the London Living Wage.

The placement will start in June 2020 for a period of 8-12 weeks. Candidates are expected to work 5 full days per week in normal office hours (9am – 5.30pm).
