The Research and Development Consultant will strengthen Ecoact’s expertise on the economic impacts of carbon pricing policies, energy and materials costs for organizations.
The role will conduct a regulatory watch and will be in charge of conducting quantitative and qualitative impact studies and analysis and they will participate in training teams on the challenges of these changes. In addition, the Consultant will be responsible, in collaboration with advisory and business development teams, for developing innovative service offers in line with new regulations.
The scope of the position will adapt to all regulatory developments, however it will be strongly focused on developments in Europe and the UK. The consultant will be encouraged to create partnerships around research projects with public and private research actors, as well as to promote their findings at conferences and other events.
The Consultant will work in collaboration with multidisciplinary experts, in an international environment, and will be encouraged to develop their skills according to their interests. They will work in close collaboration with French members of the Research and Innovation team.
Typical deliverables may include, but are not limited to:
Reporting to the Research and Innovation centre located in France, this role will be required to work closely with all members of the team, both advisory and sales, to achieve Company objectives. External relationships are a key part of the role, with a requirement to liaise with project teams, overseas offices, and representatives from partner organisations.
A Masters degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics or similar and/or postgraduate experience of working in a similar field, such as research, studies or consulting in economics, finance or strategy.
Technical:
The role will be based in our central London office with a flexible blend of home and office working. The successful applicant may be required to travel within the UK and internationally on assignment, as necessary.
