The role

This is a unique opportunity to join EcoAct’s global marketing and communications team based out of our London office. If you’re a recent Graduate with a keen interest and passion for sustainability and marketing, this entry-level role is the perfect opportunity to launch your career. This position requires outstanding communication and writing skills and the ability to craft content alongside a desire to build marketing acumen and experience.

Professional Background and Experience

Essential background characteristics include:

  • Graduate in Marketing or a similar field (experience in a similar role or internship would be a bonus but not essential)
  • A demonstratable understanding of marketing campaign delivery and marketing principles
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and content marketing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • French and/or Spanish language skills beneficial

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An ability to design and write compelling, customer-focused copy for a variety of channels
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with capability to learn InDesign, Photoshop, and other software tools
  • An ability to assess ROI of different marketing activities to input into marketing strategy direction
  • An ability to manage multiple ongoing assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • An ability to work autonomously and independently
  • Flexibility, willingness and ability to “go the extra mile” to help deliver results and meet deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the wider Marketing and Communications Team in the delivery of various marketing campaigns and projects
  • Help the social media lead on content creation across social media, email and blogs where required
  • Support the wider team on design processes for marketing collateral
  • Ensure the marketing collateral on the shared drive is kept up to date
  • Protecting EcoAct’s brand in external and internal contexts
  • Manage team diary and meeting admin
  • Provide support to our external and internal events, including the preparation and production of event content, invitations, delivery and follow up process. Oversee and manage all marketing inboxes and enquiries relating to event.

Relationships

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be required to work closely with all members of the UK team, both advisory and commercial, to achieve Company objectives as well as being part of a global communications team that work closely together on a day-to-day basis. External relationships are part of the role, with a requirement to liaise with freelancers, agencies, and representatives from partner organisations.

Location

The role will be based in our central London office with the flexibility to work from home on a 50/50 office/home working basis. The successful applicant may be required to travel within the UK and internationally on assignment.
