About the Role

Working in a small, friendly, supportive HR team, the role of the HR and Recruitment Administrator will be to support the administrative function of the EcoAct Human Resources team, providing effective and efficient administration and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of the HR and Recruitment function. The role has a range of responsibilities including:

  • Employee T&Cs change requests; position management processing; remuneration, promotion and job role administrative changes; probationary reviews; performance management record maintenance and leave record management
  • The writing and issuing of letters to employees following administrative changes/processes
  • Recruitment responsibilities including but not limited to; maintaining the recruitment inbox, arranging interviews, gathering interview feedback, responding to applicants, updating the recruitment database, preparing contractual documentation and offer letters
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding, including new starter paperwork and employee system set up; liaising with IT to ensure smooth account set up; ordering of equipment; liaising with Facilities teams and welcoming employees at the office; submitting leaver forms, ensuring return of equipment/passes and a smooth exit process
  • The timely processing of HR and recruitment invoices
  • Supporting EcoAct’s learning and development culture through coordination of training and development initiatives, organising training sessions, capturing training needs, maintaining the central training record, administering training platforms, drafting training contracts

About You

You will have:

  • previous experience working in an administrative role, ideally your background will be within professional services;
  • strong office administration experience, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, namely Outlook, Word including Mail Merge functions and PowerPoint;
  • working knowledge of Excel and the ability to run, maintain and update reports
  • accuracy and attention to detail, evidenced within a similar role;
  • experience of arranging, booking and coordinating meetings, interviews and other events including celebratory and social events;
  • excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks, assignments and responsibilities simultaneously;
  • the ability to speak and present information convincingly and with confidence to a variety of stakeholders at all levels within the business, as well as strong written abilities.


The role will be based in our central London office (Holborn). You will have the flexibility to work from home but must be able/willing to be office based at least 50% of the time, if required.
