We are currently looking for a Director, Research & Innovation to join our team to manage our R&I function, generating exciting new insights, products and innovations. TITLE : Director, Research & Innovation
DEPARTMENT : Research & Innovation
The Director Research & Innovation oversees all activities related to research and innovation at the group level. He/she reports to the Top Management of the group, and is a member of the group Executive Committee. He/she contributes to long term business viability through the development and implementation of an innovation strategy, the structuring and coordination of market intelligence capability, and the delivery of technical capacity building.

Main responsibilities

• Develop the research and innovation strategy and related action plan & budget, in line with the group global strategy
• Provide the strategic focus and people leadership for the R&I department
• Control and manage performance objectives (e.g. quality of services) and department reporting (budget, KPIs…)
• Coordinate and contribute to the technical/regulatory intelligence and to market/policy watch processes
• Contribute to identify, evaluate and develop new products & services
• Manage the climate policy and carbon markets at the group level
• Oversee the technical content of R&I actions globally
• Oversee the PhD student’s activity on Climate Finance, including in the context of CIFRE applications & deliverables (France) and other similar schemes elsewhere
• Manage and contribute to the group internal technical capacity building
• Organize and conduct workshops and presentations to EcoAct stakeholders
• Promote EcoAct expertise to Climate community and Policy-makers
• Produce publications related to Climate/Energy policies
• Provide technical support to the sales team and fundraising in the context of prospection and follow-up proposals
• Establish and monitor R&I partnerships and develop fundraising
• Manage and contribute to an R&I focused service line
• Contribute to the technical integration processes in the context of external growth

Experience and Education

•Able to demonstrate a track report of delivering results in the sustainable development sector
• Education: engineering, economics or policy background, PhD
• Team-management experience is required
• Fluent in French and in English, another language being a plus
